Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea (hereafter referred to as Korea) and India in 1973, their bilateral relationship has made significant progress. This year marks the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic partnership, which calls for a scholarly examination of the developments in Korea-India relations over the last five decades and their future prospects.
The logo commemorating the 50 years of diplomatic relations between Korea and India embodies the essence of this robust and evolving partnership. Central to the design is the number “50”, symbolizing the milestone anniversary. It integrates iconic national symbols—the Taeguk from Korea’s flag and the Ashoka Chakra from India’s flag—signifying balance, harmony, progress, and righteousness. The color scheme incorporates red, blue, and white for Korea, and saffron, white, and green for India, reflecting the unity and diversity of the two nations. The dynamic flow of the design illustrates the ongoing and forward-moving collaboration, blending modern and traditional elements to highlight the rich cultural heritage and contemporary partnership of Korea and India.
