70 Years of Diplomatic Relations Serbia India

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, Serbia Post and the Department of Post of India jointly released commemorative stamps featuring Serbian scientist and inventor Nikola Tesla and Indian spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda. This event marks the enduring friendship and cooperation between Serbia and India, a relationship that began when India and the former Yugoslavia co-founded the Non-Aligned Movement. Over the decades, this bond has grown stronger, resulting in close and friendly ties. India supports Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and has not recognized Kosovo’s Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI). Both countries share similar views on various global issues and support each other in international forums. In 2023, they celebrated the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, further highlighting their deep and lasting partnership.
