Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has been set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development (now known as Ministry of Education) in 2010 at Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is one of the fastest growing states of India with its rich mineral, forest, natural and local resources.

1.The “Aureole”
It depicts the traditional Bastar Dhokra Art (Sun Handicraft made out of metal) of Tribal Chhattisgarh that involves precision, practice and skill. Being a State of Adivasis, the Sun is also considered to be sacred and supreme by them.
2.The Colors & Font
The colors used in the entire design are Burgundy and Black. While the Burgundy color stands for Boldness, Creative & Wise; Black color signifies balance. The font used here is Montserrat indicating uniqueness, simplicity and leadership.
3. The Growth Element
The element signifies symmetric and balanced Growth/Nurture and Prosperity of the Institute.
4. The Roots
The Institute’s Growth comes from global outlook embedded with regional/national focused best practices
5. The Slogan
“Sva-Karma Niratah Siddhim”: One of the key management / leadership lessons from Shrimad Bhagavad Gita (CH VIII, Text 45), which translates to “Through one’s role-actions, one attains Perfection” and that Ethical Leadership learning begins at IIM Raipur.
