On 17 June 2022, on the sidelines of the Special ASEAN-India Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and the Foreign Minister of Vietnam H.E. Mr. Bui Thanh Son unveiled the joint logo commemorating 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Vietnam.
The logo, selected through a contest open to nationals of both countries, symbolizes the long-standing friendship between India and Vietnam. It features a peacock and a crane, birds of national importance in India and Vietnam respectively, and incorporates the numeral 50 to mark the anniversary. The national flags of India and Vietnam are prominently displayed at the center of the logo, highlighting the enduring ties between the two nations.
